Terms of Service
Terms for using the free Claude Watermark Remover text tool.
Last updated: 2026-08-12
Acceptance
By using Claude Watermark Remover, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
The current service is a free browser-based tool that inspects observable text artifacts. Its current detector classifies Unicode and formatting controls and can remove selected characters from text. It is not an official Anthropic product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic.
Anthropic has not yet published its proprietary embedded text watermark detector. A clean report from this tool does not prove that content is human-authored, free of AI processing or free of an unpublished watermark.
Your content
You retain rights to content you provide. You are responsible for having permission to process that content and for reviewing cleaned output before using or publishing it.
Responsible use
Do not use the service to violate law, intellectual property rights, contractual duties, platform rules or applicable disclosure and provenance requirements. Cleaning a technical marker does not remove any obligation to disclose AI involvement where disclosure is required.
Do not use the service to misrepresent authorship, facilitate academic misconduct or fraud, evade required provenance or disclosure measures, or bypass safety and compliance controls.
Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or probe the service without authorization.
No warranty
The service is provided as available. Detection can produce false positives and false negatives. Unicode cleanup can change emoji appearance, text direction or connected scripts, especially in strict mode. Keep an original copy and review the result.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses resulting from use of the service or reliance on its results.
Changes and availability
We may change, suspend or discontinue the service. We may also update these terms. The date above identifies the current version.
